TenTrade Names Wilfred Obasi Regional Director for Africa

TenTrade

TenTrade has appointed Wilfred Obasi as its Regional Director for Africa, adding an experienced African financial services executive to its leadership team as the company strengthens its regional operations.

Obasi takes over TenTrade’s commercial operations in Africa from Victor Ufot and will oversee the company’s regional commercial strategy, including partnership development, business development, market expansion and product planning.

A New Leadership Role for Africa

The appointment comes as international financial services companies continue to place greater emphasis on local expertise when developing their operations across African markets.

Obasi joins TenTrade following a 13 year career at Exinity, where he most recently served as Partner Enablement Manager at the company’s Dubai office. His experience includes client acquisition, partner management, business development and commercial strategy across FX and CFD markets, with a focus on Africa.

In his new position, Obasi will be responsible for revenue expansion, partnership development, market penetration and product expansion across the region. TenTrade also said he will work on adapting its offering to the needs and expectations of African markets.

Obasi to Focus on Regional Relationships

Commenting on the appointment, Obasi said his focus would include strengthening relationships with partners and brokers across the region.

“I’m excited to lead TenTrade’s commercial efforts in Africa. There is immense potential yet to be explored in the region. My primary focus will naturally be on deepening relationships with our partners and brokers here and making sure every trader who works with us feels that commitment,” he said.

TenTrade Chief Revenue Officer Andreas Andreou said Obasi’s understanding of African markets would help shape the company’s expansion strategy.

“It’s a privilege to welcome Wilfred Obasi to TenTrade. His deep industry expertise and knowledge of local and regional African markets will allow us to shape TenTrade’s expansion path in the region,” Andreou said.

Part of a Wider Expansion Strategy

The appointment forms part of a broader leadership and commercial expansion at TenTrade.

The company appointed Andreou as Partner and Chief Revenue Officer earlier in 2026, while Marios Morfakis was also appointed Chief Sales Officer. TenTrade has separately expanded its brand presence through a partnership with former Portuguese footballer Luis Figo as its global brand ambassador.

The appointment of a dedicated regional director places Africa at the centre of TenTrade’s commercial strategy and reflects the increasing importance of local market knowledge, partnerships and regional leadership to international financial services companies operating on the continent.

For Africa’s financial services industry, the development also highlights the growing competition among international firms seeking to establish stronger regional footprints and build relationships within increasingly diverse financial markets.
